[[Millenium babies]]

Over a conversation during dinner with our family friends.. yea.. millenium babies.. wat are millenium babies..
Firstly.. we shall do a minor history flashback.. after WW2 ended.. the generation of children born in the year 1940-1960 are the after-war children. those who are born from 1960-1980 are the 2nd generation after the generation after war.. and from 1980-2000 onwards.. are millenium babies.. yea.. us.. we are millenium babies.. So wat so significant is the millenium babies..
Over the conversation.. my father, who is obviously the after-war children.. and his friend.. were complaining.. kids nowadays.. dont appreciate wat we have.. in comparison with wat they have during the 1940s, 1950s..

I wont talk much about the 1960-1980 generation.. but they are also after war.. but 20 years later.. they dont feel much of the sufferings after war..

okay.. characteristics of after-war children and millenium babies...
after-war children.. " wakes up early no matter got work or no work"
millenium babies.. " sleep late.. wake up late.. got work oni force to wake up"
after... " work hard for a very poor living, undemanding"
millenium... " no work.. but expect everything to come to him"
after... " does 1 thing at a time.. making sure that the thing is complete then move on"
millenium... " does 3 things at a time or more.. and mostly gets nothing done.."

This is true.. millenium babies dont wake up for no reason.. all we do.. is eat, sleep, play, eat sleep play.. even when we are 20, 21.. we still, eat sleep play.. study???? study litte la... after-war children mostly dont have the chance to study.. so.. end up.. doing dirty work in plantations, factories.. to earn a mere 50cents a day.. dis is how an after-war child lives..

Another factor.. millenium babies.. are so demanding.. they say.. i need a new pair of jeans.. materialistics.. i need a new phone.. my phone sux.. my shirt sux.. i need a new shirt.. branded.. CKJeans.. DKNY.. Billabong.. watever.. u name it.. they want it.. celebrities wear it.. they adorn it.. no matter how freakin expensive.. i must get it.. the best computer.. all from who? the parents.. which are mostly born during the after-war period.. where.. they live with either poor parents.. or single parent? or worse.. orphan due to war.. and.. sometimes.. no food to eat.. go to bed.. sometimes have to scrape out leftovers as food.. dis is how life is during after-war period.. no money to buy anything.. clothes also.. they are fortunate to go to school.. during birthday.. Millenium babies expect gifts.. and presents.. expensive.. after-war children? even an egg.. painted in red.. already happy edi.. Millenium babies dont appreciate stuff.. they take things for granted.. like PS1 juz launch buy.. when PS2 launch.. throw away PS1.. buy PS2.. now PS3 launch.. PS2 goin to throw edi.. see.. this is how millenium babies think..

Millenium babies also.. aren't patient.. they like to do so many things at one time.. we can actually, read newspaper, eat lunch and even do homework during our lunch.. and we can online, listen songs, playin game.. dis is wat i call multi-tasking.. and when it comes to task to be done.. like assignments.. we always wait for last minute.. we think we have all the time in the world.. but no.. in the end.. we suffer.. am i right? for after-war children.. there wasn't any technology.. no handphones.. no computers.. nothing.. no money to even buy them.. so.. they do things slowly.. with patiently.. imagine.. sending mail to a person.. they wait.. waiting for a reply.. it may take 2 months.. for us.. send e-mail.. if dont reply within a day.. kena kao kaoz.. this is wat i call fast paced..

Wat an after-war child ask from a millenium baby.. is to really know that the war still brings back haunting memories.. as we already know.. how they suffer.. yet.. they work so hard.. to provide everything for u.. sometimes the things that we want.. they want to give.. but they dont have the money.. be thankful of ur parents who work their ass off to get wat u need.. ur education.. and take concern of them as well.. i know the age gap is big.. but when u really start talkin to them.. they really.. will feel great when we actually concern about the past.. becoz most parents and children nowadays.. dont talk much.. as we can see.. even i and my father.. seldom talk.. for we dont have much thing to talk.. so.. if u're free.. do sit down.. and talk to ur father.. ask him abt the war.. care for ur parents.. who hav suffer so much.. dont be selfish.. think about them.. for they born u out of hardship.. out of love..
